The Abu Dhabi Knight Riders opted to bat but faced an early collapse, reduced to 10/4 due to exceptional bowling from Taskin Ahmed and Wasim Akram. Despite Sherfane Rutherford's fighting 44, Adil Rashid's decisive three-wicket haul limited the Knight Riders to 134/9. In response, the Warriorz also experienced early setbacks, but a crucial partnership between Sikandar Raza and James Rew, who scored an unbeaten 42, steered them towards the target.
The chase remained tense, with Jason Holder’s penultimate over leaving 12 runs needed. However, James Rew, supported by Rashid, managed to secure the win on the final delivery. Rashid was lauded as Player of the Match for his impactful bowling at the death and his contribution to the chase, highlighting the team's clear plans and experience.
