Wales will be without centre Louie Hennessey for their upcoming summer international series due to a shoulder injury. The 22-year-old sustained the damage during a Champions Cup semi-final match in early May.
Further concerns have arisen for the Welsh squad as prop Kieron Assiratti is now considered a major doubt for the summer internationals. He suffered a calf injury during a recent United Rugby Championship fixture.
Hennessey, who has one Test cap to his name, will miss matches against the Barbarians, Fiji, Argentina, and South Africa in the new Nations Championship.
The summer series begins on Saturday, 27 June, with a match against the Barbarians in Twickenham. Wales' Nations Championship campaign kicks off on Saturday, 4 July, against Fiji at Cardiff City Stadium. They will then travel to face Argentina on Saturday, 11 July, and South Africa on Saturday, 18 July.
