The University of Utah's football team achieved a significant recruitment milestone, securing three new commitments on Monday, June 9, 2026. This hat trick of pledges includes linebacker Aiden Martin, tight end Braxton Daniel, and three-star wide receiver Dillon Sykes.
Sykes, standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 190 pounds, is the initial wide receiver for Utah's 2027 recruiting class. During his junior season at Rancho Cucamonga High in California, he recorded 25 receptions for 281 yards and five touchdowns in eight games.
Despite offers from Purdue and Arizona, Sykes also garnered attention from Ivy League schools like Dartmouth, Harvard, and Penn, underscored by his perfect 4.0 GPA. Rivals ranks him as the nation's No. 170 wide receiver.
With these recent additions, Utah's 2027 class now comprises eight committed players, all rated as three-star prospects. This group includes running back Jonah Mailei, offensive linemen Sire Stewart and Damian Anyasodo, defensive lineman Tiki Teeples, and edge rusher Jack Henderson.
