The upcoming Super Bowl is set to be a significant part of the United States' 250th-anniversary celebrations. America250, the commission for this milestone, has established a partnership with the NFL. This collaboration ensures the America250 logo will be visible on footballs and fields, starting from Week 18 and continuing through the playoffs.
Rosie Rios, chair of America250, emphasized the significance of the Super Bowl as the country's "biggest sporting event" to mark its "biggest milestone." Fans attending the game will participate in an interactive experience, holding red, white, and blue panels to create a patriotic spectacle for television viewers.
Rios, a native of the Bay Area, highlighted the personal connection to hosting the event in her home region. She noted that sports are "a big part of American culture" and play a crucial role in engaging all Americans in the 250th-anniversary efforts. America250 also has future events planned, including a UFC event on June 14 and an IndyCar race in August.
