Steve Belichick, a longtime assistant, has been on medical leave since August 6th. He was reportedly involved in an investigation concerning allegations of drug use at work or distribution to a player. The university stated its independent investigation found "certain actions demonstrated a disregard for Carolina's values and standards of conduct."
However, the school emphasized that these actions were "isolated in scope and not a systemic failure," without specifying the findings. Steve's resignation comes shortly after general manager Mike Lombardi also resigned, having been a subject of the probe after a complaint from a former employee.
