North Carolina's men's basketball team has successfully navigated the transfer portal, securing commitments from guards Terrence Brown and Matt Able, as well as forward Maxim Logue. These additions provide a clearer vision for the 2026-27 roster, with Isaiah Denis returning to likely start at point guard.
Brown is set to take the shooting guard position, while Virginia Tech transfer Neoklis Avdalas will start at power forward. Able will compete for wing minutes, and Logue offers bench versatility. The team is also reportedly pursuing Wake Forest guard Juke Harris, signaling continued roster activity even as the portal deadline approaches.
Despite earlier fan concerns, the arrival of new coach Michael Malone, known for recruiting top talent, has coincided with these successful portal acquisitions. With four commitments now in place, UNC appears poised for a competitive season, with the potential for even more additions.
