Dana White Smirks at Prospect of Signing Usman Nurmagomedov

UFC CEO Dana White displayed enthusiastic body language when questioned about potentially signing Usman Nurmagomedov. Nurmagomedov recently fought out his contract with the PFL, securing a victory via knockout on Friday. White's positive response, a simple "sure" accompanied by a wide smile, was shared on social media.

Nurmagomedov, an undefeated fighter with a 22-0 record, has expressed interest in exploring opportunities with the UFC following his PFL contract's conclusion. He is widely regarded as one of the premier fighters outside the promotion. Nurmagomedov has a decorated history, having won and defended the Bellator lightweight title multiple times before capturing the inaugural PFL lightweight title in late 2025 and defending it twice. He is the brother of UFC bantamweight Umar Nurmagomedov and a cousin of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
