UConn's Fagnano and Bell Shine on Senior Day Ahead of Air Force Clash

As the UConn football team prepares to host Air Force this Saturday, the spotlight will shine on the Huskies' star players and their senior class. Quarterback Joe Fagnano has put together a remarkable season, ranking second nationally in passing yards (2,840) and touchdowns (25), while boasting a top-20 completion percentage (68.8%) and zero interceptions.

Fagnano's breakout campaign has earned him Heisman Trophy consideration, a far cry from his situation last year when he was not yet the full-time starter. Now, the senior will be celebrated on his final Senior Day at Rentschler Field, along with 38 other graduating players.

Joining Fagnano in the spotlight is receiver Skyler Bell, who has emerged as a Heisman candidate himself. Bell leads the nation in receptions (85) and receiving touchdowns (13), and is just 45 yards behind the leader in receiving yards (1,081). He is poised to become only the fifth player to claim the receiving Triple Crown.

The success of this dynamic duo has energized the entire UConn team, which is looking to cap an impressive home campaign by going undefeated at Rentschler Field for the first time since 2010.
