The UAE National Para Cycling Team continues its impressive run at the Asian Track Championships in Tagaytay, Philippines. On the third day of the competition, the team added four more medals to its collection, bringing their total to eight, comprising three gold, three silver, and two bronze medals.
Abdullah Salem Al Balushi was a dominant force, securing two gold medals. His first victory came in the C4 10 km scratch race, where he finished ahead of competitors from Indonesia and Uzbekistan. Al Balushi then claimed another gold in the C4 sprint race, once again outperforming his Uzbek rival. These wins brought his personal tally to three gold and one silver medal.
Salama Al Khateri also contributed to the team's success, earning a silver medal in the C5 scratch race and a bronze medal in the individual sprint of the same category. This expanded her overall medal count to four, consisting of two silver and two bronze medals.
The Secretary-General of the National Paralympic Committee, Dhiban Salem Al Muhairi, lauded the team's achievements, attributing the success to the support of the UAE's leadership. He highlighted the team's competitive spirit and their ability to compete at the highest level against Asia's top athletes.
