4 Oct
Summary
- Tyson Fury plans to invite President Donald Trump to his ring walk.
- Fury and Trump previously met at a White House event in June.
- The fight's location was confirmed for Cardiff in September.
Boxer Tyson Fury has revealed his ambition to have President Donald Trump join him for his ring walk. Fury described Trump as 'my old buddy, old pal,' while acknowledging that the President's schedule might make his participation improbable.
Fury and Trump's connection was highlighted by a previous meeting at a White House event in June. The prospect of the President's involvement would elevate Fury's already theatrical walkouts to an unprecedented level, requiring substantial security and governmental cooperation.
The highly anticipated boxing match, set to take place in Cardiff, had its location confirmed in September. Earlier proposals to stage the fight in New York had stalled due to differing terms set by Matchroom.
Fury views this upcoming bout as a stepping stone towards a potential trilogy with Oleksandr Usyk, whom Fury lost to twice in 2024. He has expressed a desire for a third fight to occur in New York City.
