Twins Take Chance on Marinaccio

The Minnesota Twins have added right-handed pitcher Ron Marinaccio to their minor-league system via a minor-league contract signed on Saturday, August 23, 2026. This move provides the Twins with additional organizational depth, particularly useful in the event of further pitching injuries. Marinaccio, who made his MLB debut in 2022 with the Yankees, has largely struggled with ineffectiveness at the major league level. He has experienced multiple stints between MLB and Triple-A in recent seasons.

The Twins' pitching development team may aim to improve his mechanics and fastball, changeup, cutter, and sweeper, all currently rated below average.
