Titans TE Helm Injured After Scoring Touchdown

Tennessee Titans rookie tight end Gunnar Helm's promising game against the San Francisco 49ers was cut short due to a toe injury sustained in the second half. Helm had just scored his second NFL touchdown before exiting the field. The team is hopeful that the injury is not severe.

This setback for Helm occurs as three Titans defensive backs, Mike Bane, Kevin Winston Jr., and Xavier Woods, were also ruled out with injuries during the same matchup. Helm's performance this season includes 39 receptions for 336 yards and two touchdowns, showing significant progress.

Helm's development mirrors his college career, where he focused on improving his speed, strength, and receiving technique. He is on track to potentially become the starting tight end next season. Meanwhile, Chig Okonkwo will see increased opportunities on the field.
