Summary

- Mohammed Siraj brings his wicket-taking form to the squad.
- Hyderabad aims for a strong finish despite early group stage losses.

India internationals Tilak Varma and Mohammed Siraj are set to join the Hyderabad squad for their upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy matches. Varma will lead the team as captain against Chandigarh on January 3rd and will continue to do so for the subsequent match against Bengal on January 6th. Siraj is expected to be available for selection starting with the January 8th game against Jammu and Kashmir.
Siraj, who recently participated in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, secured seven wickets in four matches. Varma has played one match for Hyderabad this season and has since been part of India's T20I and ODI squads. Both players are anticipated to feature in India's limited-overs series against New Zealand, commencing January 11th.
The addition of these two key players offers a significant boost to the Hyderabad team, which has struggled in its initial four matches of the tournament. Although their chances of reaching the quarter-finals are mathematically extinguished, the team aims to conclude the group stage with strong performances in their remaining fixtures.
