Golfer Jason Day has publicly addressed Tiger Woods' recent DUI arrest in Florida, calling the incident "a little bit selfish" for endangering others. Woods was arrested on March 27, 2026, after his Land Rover struck a trailer and overturned. Authorities found two painkiller pills in his possession and determined he was impaired, leading to his arrest for refusing a urine test. Woods has pleaded not guilty and received permission to seek treatment outside the United States.

Speaking at Augusta, Day acknowledged Woods' struggles as a human being but emphasized the irresponsibility of driving under the influence. Despite this criticism, Day reiterated his deep admiration for Woods, calling him his hero and crediting him with inspiring his own golf career.
