Summary
- C.J. Stroud reportedly wants to play with free agent Wyatt Teller.
- Teller is interested in signing with the Texans this offseason.
- Houston is re-working its offensive line and seeks veteran help.

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud is reportedly eager to play with Cleveland Browns free agent offensive guard Wyatt Teller. Teller himself has indicated an interest in joining the Texans for the upcoming 2026 season. The Texans are currently in the process of rebuilding their offensive line during this offseason.
Teller, an eight-year veteran, spent his last seven seasons with the Browns. The 31-year-old guard is looking for a new contract and could be a significant addition to the Texans' interior offensive line. This move would logically fill the gap left by Tytus Howard, who was recently traded.
Despite facing some injury concerns and playing only 26 games in the past two seasons, Teller maintained a PFF overall grade of 62.2 in his most recent 2025 campaign, notably excelling as a run blocker. The Texans will need to manage their salary cap effectively to afford Teller.
With financial flexibility anticipated from roster restructures and potential player cuts, the Texans are expected to pursue veteran offensive line additions assertively but prudently. Wyatt Teller appears to be a primary target in their search for reinforcements.
