Wales Football Legend Yorath Laid to Rest

Mourners have convened in Leeds to attend the funeral of Welsh football legend Terry Yorath. The Cardiff-born player left an indelible mark on the sport, notably captaining the Welsh national team in 42 out of his 59 international matches. His contributions extended to club level, where he was an integral part of the Leeds United squad that secured the First Division title in the 1973-74 season and later reached the European Cup final in 1975.

Yorath also had a significant career in management, leading several clubs including Swansea City, Bradford City, Cardiff City, and Sheffield Wednesday. His passing at the age of 75 was marked by a heartfelt tribute from his daughter, sports presenter Gabby Logan, who described him as her "warrior" dad.
