Vols Aim for 9 Wins in Music City Bowl Clash

The Tennessee Volunteers, ranked No. 23 with an 8-4 record, are preparing to face Illinois in the Music City Bowl. This game, scheduled for December 30th at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, offers Tennessee a chance to secure a ninth win for their 2025 season. This likely marks the final college appearance for Tennessee's quarterback, Joey Aguilar, who led the SEC in passing during his sole season with the Volunteers. He will be up against Illinois quarterback Luke Altmyer in this SEC vs. Big Ten contest. Tennessee will be missing several crucial players for the bowl game, including wide receiver Chris Brazzell, linebacker Arion Carter, cornerback Colton Hood, and edge rusher Joshua Josephs, who have all opted out. The game is set to kick off at 4:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN.
