Siraj, Varma Headline Inaugural TG20 Player Auction

The Hyderabad Cricket Association is set to host the player auction for the inaugural Telangana T20 (TG20) League on June 7 at the Princess Convention Centre. This event marks a major milestone for the state's first franchise-based T20 tournament.
More than 1,300 cricketers registered with the HCA will be available for selection as eight franchises begin assembling their teams. The tournament itself is slated to commence on June 21 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
Headlining the auction are Telangana's international cricketers Mohammed Siraj and Tilak Varma. They are joined by notable domestic players such as Rohit Rayudu, Rahul Buddhi, CV Milind, and Tanmay Agarwal. The event will also feature young talents, including India U-19 representative Aaron George and members of the state's Vinoo Mankad Trophy-winning team.
The eight franchises participating are Hyderabad e-Champions, Pranava Ranga Reddy Risers, Warangal Warriors, Medak Falcons, Anurag Nalgonda Knights, Karimnagar Diamonds, Palamuru Strikers, and Anvita Khammam Aces. Each franchise has a purse of ₹60 lakh to build a squad of up to 20 players. The auction, which will be streamed live on JioHotstar, will be conducted by renowned sports presenter Charu Sharma.
