A dedicated Year 12 student has completed a remarkable endurance feat, running for nearly nine hours beside Gardiner's Creek. The challenging event saw him complete just over 33 circuits of a 3km loop.
Despite the grueling nature of the run, with temperatures climbing to 29 degrees, supporters rallied around him. Friends and family offered encouragement, with some even running alongside him.
As the student reached his limit, collapsing in exhaustion, a surprise 'Happy Birthday' rendition from supporters lifted his spirits. He emerged from the challenge with sore legs and a tender stomach, but felt well overall.
The significant fundraising effort has garnered over $14,000 on MyCause. These funds will directly benefit the youth mental health organization, Headspace, providing vital support services.
