Rajasthan Royals' young prodigy, 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, is making waves in IPL 2026. This sensational performance has drawn comparisons to Chennai Super Kings' Sanju Samson.

Samson, also an opener, has scored 430 runs in 11 innings with an average of 53.75 and a strike rate of 169.29, featuring two centuries. However, when comparing their opening statistics after exactly 18 IPL matches, Sooryavanshi's numbers stand out significantly.

After 18 games as an opener, Sooryavanshi has scored 692 runs at an average of 38.44 and an exceptional strike rate of 224.67. In contrast, Sanju Samson had accumulated 472 runs at an average of 26.22 and a strike rate of 130.74 after the same number of opening innings.
