Round 11 of the Tata Steel Masters 2026 in Wijk Aan Zee, Netherlands, proved challenging for the Indian contingent. World Champion D. Gukesh drew his match against Aravindh Chithambaram. However, Arjun Erigaisi and R. Praggnanandhaa experienced losses against Javokhir Sindarov and Vincent Keymer, respectively.
These results have placed Sindarov alongside Nodirbek Abdusattorov at the top of the leaderboard with seven points each. The four Indian players, Gukesh, Praggnanandhaa, Erigiaisi, and Chithambaram, are now positioned considerably lower in the standings.
Scheduled for Saturday, round 12 will see Gukesh face Hans Moke Niemann, Erigaisi play Jordan Van Foreest, Praggnanandhaa compete against Javokhir Sindarov, and Chithambaram go head-to-head with Anish Giri.
