The former WNBA and NWSL athletes revealed their decision six years after their engagement.
"This hasn't been an easy decision, but it's one we've made together with so much love, respect, and care for each other," the joint Instagram post stated.
The couple shared that they would not continue their podcast, "A Touch More," together. Their relationship started in 2016 when both were competing in the Rio Summer Olympics.
Rapinoe, who played for OL Reign, retired after the 2023 NWSL season. Bird, who spent her entire 19-season WNBA career with the Seattle Storm, retired after the 2022 season.
