Fleming, who joined CSK in 2008 as a player and became head coach in 2009, built a legacy of success. He guided the team to five IPL titles and two Champions League T20 trophies, achieving playoff berths in 12 seasons and reaching the finals 10 times.
During his coaching stint, CSK secured championships in 2023. The team experienced varied performance in subsequent seasons, finishing ninth in 2024, fifth in 2025, and eighth in 2026. Fleming also coached other Super Kings franchises in SA20 and MLC with varying degrees of success.
