Savage entered the league as the No. 21 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, selected by the Green Bay Packers. He played 72 games for Green Bay, starting 69, and accumulated nine interceptions and 302 tackles during his time there. A notable season was 2020, where he posted four interceptions, 12 passes defensed, and 75 tackles.
Following his tenure with the Packers, Savage played for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2024 and 2025, recording one interception and 52 tackles across 15 games. He also had brief periods with the Buffalo Bills and Washington Commanders, adding 15 tackles and forcing a fumble with the latter. At nearly 29 years old, Savage aims to re-establish his form with the Steelers.
