Pittsburgh Steelers rookie Max Iheanachor experienced a substantial burglary earlier this summer. The offensive lineman, a first-round draft pick, had his home broken into on August 26, resulting in the theft of valuable property.
While Iheanachor and another resident were away between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., thieves forced entry through a broken window and an open garage door. The stolen items, primarily jewelry and designer bags, were valued between $150,000 and $200,000.
The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police is continuing its investigation into the incident. As of the current date, no suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made. This event occurs as Iheanachor prepares for his first regular-season NFL game this Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
NFL players have increasingly become targets for such crimes. Numerous stars, including Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow, were victims of burglaries during the 2024 season, linked to a South American crime syndicate.
