This significant contract includes an $18 million average annual value for new money. This figure establishes a new benchmark as the largest contract ever awarded to an NFL defensive player who is 36 years of age or older. The lineman, a first-round pick in 2011, has earned seven Pro Bowl selections and four first-team All-Pro honors.
He was also named a second-team All-Pro twice and received the prestigious Walter Payton Man of the Year award in 2023. The player is set to celebrate his 37th birthday in May.
