Summary
- Dylan Darling's clutch buzzer-beater secured St. John's NCAA Tournament win.
- Darling's winning shot was his only points of the game.
- This was a rare true game-winning buzzer-beater in the tournament.

St. John's has advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament thanks to a dramatic buzzer-beater by Dylan Darling. The Red Storm secured a 67-65 victory against a determined Kansas team.
With the game tied, Kansas fouled intentionally to minimize St. John's offensive time. However, Darling received the inbounds pass with just 3.9 seconds remaining, drove to the basket, and sank the winning shot as time expired.
Remarkably, these were Darling's only points of the entire game. St. John's relied on Zuby Ejiofor and Bryce Hopkins for much of their offense. Coach Rick Pitino's play design created an opening for Darling, who capitalized with the decisive score.
This buzzer-beater is notable as the first true game-winning shot in the NCAA Tournament since 2025 and is one of only six in the past decade.
