Srikkanth openly questioned Parag's impact, suggesting a rivalry with Ajinkya Rahane for the title of the season's worst batter. Parag's struggles, with only 61 runs at a strike rate of 122, highlight Rajasthan's over-reliance on their top order and expose a fragile middle order. The Rajasthan Royals, despite holding a top-four spot with four wins in six matches, have recently slipped to back-to-back defeats.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians have reignited their campaign with a significant 99-run victory over Gujarat Titans, a performance Srikkanth believes could be a turning point for the five-time champions. He expressed confidence in Mumbai's ability to make a late playoff push. Conversely, Srikkanth bluntly dismissed the playoff hopes of Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants, stating they are effectively eliminated and will be competing for lower-ranked positions.
