Kishan's Gloves Shine as SRH Defends 156
5 Apr
Summary
- Ishan Kishan's wicket-keeping crucial in key dismissals.
- SRH posted 156/9 despite a top-order collapse.
- Klaasen and Nitish Reddy partnership was vital.

Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to post 156 for nine wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday.
Skipper Ishan Kishan provided brilliant glove work, significantly aiding in the dismissals of Ayush Badoni (12 runs) and Nicholas Pooran (1 run). This was part of Harsh Dubey's effective bowling spell.
Despite an early batting collapse, SRH found stability through an impressive 116-run partnership between Klaasen and Nitish Reddy. This partnership became SRH's highest for the 5th wicket or lower in recent times.
Klaasen scored 62 off 41 balls, while Nitish Reddy contributed 56 from 33 deliveries, guiding the team past the 100-run mark before they were dismissed.
In response, LSG began their chase strongly. Aiden Markram top-scored with 45 off 27 balls, but SRH's bowlers, particularly Shivang Kumar, managed to take crucial wickets, preventing LSG from building sustained momentum and ultimately falling short of the target.
