Coetzee Joins SRH as Injury Replacement

Sunrisers Hyderabad has secured the services of South African fast bowler Gerald Coetzee, who joins the team as an injury replacement for David Payne. Payne was sidelined from the tournament due to an ankle injury after featuring in two matches.
Coetzee, who was not selected during the player auction, will represent SRH for INR 2 crore. He has prior IPL experience, having played for Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans, and has taken 15 wickets in 14 matches. He was part of South Africa's T20 World Cup squad.
In addition to Coetzee's signing, Sunrisers Hyderabad also celebrated the arrival of their captain, Pat Cummins. Cummins joined the squad on Friday, April 17, and is slated to be available for the team's match against the Rajasthan Royals scheduled for April 25. The team is currently positioned fifth on the league's points table.
