- Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt's historic first Champions League campaign ends.
- Sporting now advances to the quarter-finals for the second time.

Bodo/Glimt's improbable debut in the Champions League has been cut short following a stunning second-leg performance by Sporting CP in Lisbon. The Norwegian team, who had secured a commanding 3-0 victory in their home leg, suffered a 5-0 defeat, thus ending their fairytale run in the competition.
Sporting became only the fifth team in Champions League history to successfully overturn a three-goal deficit from the first leg. Center-back Goncalo Inacio opened the scoring, followed by a second goal from Pedro Gonzales. A penalty converted by Luis Suarez in the 78th minute, and a late extra-time strike by Maximiliano Araujo sealed the comeback.
This historic win marks Sporting's second appearance in the competition's quarter-finals. They will now face the winner of the tie between Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen. The Norwegian club, hailing from the town of Bodo above the Arctic Circle, had previously achieved notable results, including victories against Manchester City and Inter Milan during the league phase.
