Spin Wizard Sundar Outshines Legends with Mesmerizing Drift

In the ongoing India-England Test series, all-rounder Washington Sundar has emerged as a spin bowling sensation, consistently troubling the opposition batters with his exceptional drift. Former England captain Michael Vaughan has even suggested that Sundar's bowling action is reminiscent of his own, with the young spinner generating more drift than even the legendary Australian spinner Nathan Lyon.

Sundar's impact was particularly evident in the fourth Test, where he outfoxed batters like Harry Brook and Ollie Pope with his ability to make the ball move in the air. This helped India regain control of the match after a difficult period. Earlier in the series, Sundar had also trapped Ben Stokes LBW with his impressive drift.

Alongside Sundar's heroics, the other spin-bowling all-rounder in the Indian team, Ravindra Jadeja, has also played a crucial role. Jadeja's gritty century in the second innings stretched his run tally for the series to over 450, making him the fourth-highest run-scorer across the first four Tests. He also picked up four crucial wickets in the fourth Test, including those of centurions Joe Root and Ben Stokes.

The Indian team's tactical decision to send Sundar in at number five in the second innings, despite his usual batting position being lower down the order, also paid dividends, as he forged an unbeaten 203-run partnership with Jadeja to help India secure a strong position in the match.
