Spain's Coach: 'We Can Eliminate France'

Spanish coach Luis de la Fuente expressed strong confidence in his team's ability to overcome tournament favorites France in their upcoming semi-final match in Dallas. De la Fuente stated that Spain has "exceptional potential" and "very high expectations" for the game, drawing confidence from their previous elimination of France in the Euro 2024 semi-finals. He emphasized the full-squad effort, with key contributions from midfielders Fabian Ruiz and Mikel Merino in their quarter-final win against Belgium.

De la Fuente highlighted the depth of his squad, noting that players like Pedri, Mikel Merino, Martín Zubimendi, and Gavi are all high-quality players. He acknowledged France's exceptional talent but asserted Spain's own capabilities, stating they are prepared to give their all. Spain aims to extend De la Fuente's 13-game unbeaten streak across the World Cup and Euros against a formidable French side.

The coach also recognized the quality of the Belgian team and the importance of squad continuity for national teams, a point echoed by Belgium's coach Rudi Garcia. Despite challenges in execution against Belgium, Spain will rely on its depth and preparation to perform at its best against France.
