Sky's Angel Reese Earns Second All-Star Nod Despite Injury Scare
19 Jul
Summary
- Angel Reese averaging career-highs in points and assists
- Reese leads the WNBA in rebounds this season
- Missed recent game due to precautionary leg injury

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has continued her impressive rise in the WNBA, earning her second consecutive All-Star selection this season. The second-year player is currently averaging career-highs of 14.0 points and 3.8 assists per game, while also leading the league with 12.6 rebounds.
Last week, Reese was named a reserve for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game, where she will play for Team Collier led by Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier. However, Reese recently missed the Sky's game against the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday due to a precautionary leg injury.
Despite the injury scare, Sky head coach Tyler Marsh has indicated that Reese's absence was more preventive than anything else. If Reese is able to participate in the All-Star Game, she would not be the only star player missing the event, as several others have already announced they will sit out due to injuries.
