Shane Larkin has officially joined Fenerbahce, a major acquisition for the EuroLeague contenders. He makes the move from their Istanbul rivals, Anadolu Efes, where he had been a pivotal player for eight seasons.
During his tenure with Efes, Larkin was instrumental in securing back-to-back Turkish Airlines EuroLeague championships. His contributions were so significant that he was recognized as part of the competition's 25th Anniversary Team. Although limited by injuries last season, his performance in 12 games, averaging 15.2 points and 4.2 assists, highlighted his continued offensive prowess.
Fenerbahce's ambition extends beyond Larkin's signing. To address the departures of key players like Tarik Biberovic and Nando de Colo, the club has also brought in five other notable athletes. Shavon Shields and Braxton Key reinforce the wing positions, while Marcus Bingham, Trent Forrest, and Ignas Sargiunas enhance the frontcourt and backcourt depth respectively.
