Shamil Erdogan, an undefeated Turkish fighter with a 13-0 professional record, is making significant waves in ONE Championship. He maintains a perfect 100 percent finishing rate across three weight classes, demonstrating a dominant fighting style.
Erdogan's arrival in the heavyweight division is timely, as the ONE Heavyweight MMA World Championship is currently vacant. He recently defeated Paul Elliott on October 2, 2026, moving him closer to a title shot.
His promotional debut in June 2023 saw him quickly finish Fan Rong with a body kick. He then defeated legend Aung La N Sang twice, first by stoppage in September 2024 and then by a 28-second head kick knockout in February 2025, earning a US$50,000 bonus.
Erdogan continued his ascent by moving to light heavyweight in March 2025, submitting Gilberto Galvao in just 41 seconds, another performance that earned him a US$50,000 bonus. He then moved to heavyweight, defeating Ryugo Takeuchi via ground-and-pound in November 2025.
Erdogan's next major challenge was Paul Elliott on October 2, 2026, a fight he won, potentially putting the vacant ONE Heavyweight MMA World Title within his reach.
