Seahawks Rookie Carted Off Field in Preseason Game

Seattle Seahawks rookie Bud Clark suffered a serious injury during a preseason game against the Tennessee Titans. The second-round safety went down on Seattle's opening defensive snap after a run by Titans running back Tony Pollard. Medical staff attended to Clark on the field before he was taken off on a cart, with his lower right leg and ankle immobilized in an air cast.

Clark's teammates and even opposing players showed concern for the injured player. The Seahawks have not yet provided an official update on his condition. Clark had played only one defensive snap before his exit. He had recorded three tackles in the team's previous preseason game and was anticipated to compete for a starting role or significant backup duties in the Seahawks' defense.
