Darnold's performance this season has been strong, passing for 4,048 yards with 25 touchdowns and 14 interceptions, earning him a second consecutive Pro Bowl selection. He was instrumental in leading the Seahawks to a 14-3 record and securing the NFC's top seed. His injury places increased importance on backup quarterback Drew Lock, who has limited playing time this season.

Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak conveyed confidence in Lock, highlighting his impressive performance during training and OTAs.
