Seahawks Parade: Extra Ferries Brace for Huge Crowds
10 Feb
Summary
- Ferries are increasing capacity for Seahawks Super Bowl parade.
- Officials predict up to one million fans may attend the parade.
- Significant wait times are expected at ferry terminals.

Kitsap Transit and Washington State Ferries are enhancing services into Seattle for the Seahawks' Super Bowl victory parade on Wednesday, February 11th. These agencies are bolstering capacity to manage the expected influx of up to one million fans lining the city's streets for the celebration.
Kitsap Transit will deploy additional one-way fast ferry runs from Bremerton and increase seating capacity on its Kingston and Southworth routes. Washington State Ferries is upgrading its Bremerton-Seattle service to two boats and expanding the Triangle Route service to three boats, significantly boosting overall passenger capacity.
Officials anticipate substantial wait times at terminals, particularly at Colman Dock, and recommend that attendees travel early, plan to return late, and consider public transit options instead of driving. Parking at ferry terminals is also expected to be scarce, with park-and-ride bus services suggested as an alternative.
