Summary
- Sioux Falls Christian is back at No. 1 in Class A rankings.
- Dell Rapids, previously first, slipped to No. 2 after a loss.
- Class AA and B rankings saw minor shifts or remained unchanged.
Sioux Falls Christian has ascended to the top position in the Class A volleyball rankings, marking their return to No. 1 for the first time since the preseason poll. This significant achievement follows their victory over Dell Rapids, who had previously held the top spot. The Chargers secured their new ranking after a hard-fought five-set battle against Dell Rapids on September 3rd, resulting in the Quarriers' drop to No. 2. The Chargers received a commanding 15 out of 16 first-place votes.
In the Class AA poll, Sioux Falls Lincoln and Brandon Valley have exchanged positions, now ranking third and fourth, respectively. The top five teams in Class B, however, have maintained their positions without any changes in the latest rankings released on September 8th. Harrisburg leads Class AA, while Chester leads Class B.
