Sarfaraz Ahmed has been appointed as the head coach for Pakistan's upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh. The former captain, who led Pakistan to the 2017 Champions Trophy title, will guide the Shan Masood-led side. This appointment marks a significant change in the coaching setup following Jason Gillespie's departure.
Shan Masood retains his position as Test captain. The Pakistan squad includes prominent players such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, and Shaheen Shah Afridi. Notably, the squad also features four uncapped players: Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais, and Muhammad Ghazi Ghori.
The selected players will participate in a training camp in Karachi from April 27 to May 1. Following the camp, the team is scheduled to travel to Bangladesh on May 2. Players involved in the ongoing Pakistan Super League will join the camp after their respective teams conclude their campaigns.
