Kicker Tucker's Return: Saints Eyeing Veteran for Crucial Role

Veteran kicker Tucker has had his 10-game suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy lifted two weeks ago. Now 36, he is trying out for the New Orleans Saints. The team is considering him as a potential replacement for Blake Grupe, who missed two field goals in a recent game against the Falcons.

Tucker experienced his least successful season in 2024, making a career-low 73.3 percent of his field goal attempts. He also struggled from distances over 40 yards, converting only 11 of 19 attempts. Among those competing for the Saints' kicking duties is Cade York, who last played for the Commanders in 2024 and missed both of his field goal attempts.
