- KL Rahul and Shubman Gill impress with their solid batting

In a recent analysis, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has lauded the performances of several Indian players who played pivotal roles in the thrilling five-match Test series against England, which concluded in a 2-2 draw on August 2nd, 2025.
Tendulkar was particularly impressed with the "unbelievable" efforts of fast bowler Mohammed Siraj, who was the leading wicket-taker across both teams with 23 scalps. Despite bowling over 1,000 deliveries in the series, Siraj maintained his pace and intensity, even reaching 90mph on the final day.
The batting stalwarts of the series were Shubman Gill and KL Rahul, who amassed 754 and 532 runs respectively, with six centuries between them. Tendulkar praised their "precise footwork" and ability to adapt to the challenging English conditions, with Gill's series aggregate being the second-highest for a captain, behind only Don Bradman.
Yashasvi Jaiswal also impressed Tendulkar with his fearless batting and maturity. The young opener scored a century in the first Test and another in the final match, showcasing his ability to perform on difficult pitches and guide the lower-order batters.
Tendulkar also highlighted the heroics of Rishabh Pant, who played through injury to score two centuries and three half-centuries, averaging an impressive 68.42 with a strike rate of 77.63. The legendary batter praised Pant's unorthodox yet effective sweep shots, which allowed him to score runs even when the pitch was challenging.
