Ryan Lochte is stepping into a new role as an assistant coach for the Missouri State University swim team. This career transition comes more than a year after his wife, Kayla Reid, initiated divorce proceedings following seven years of marriage.

In a recent Instagram video, Lochte shared his surprising feelings about his new path. The 12-time Olympic medalist admitted that he might find coaching more fulfilling than his previous competitive swimming career. He noted that while he had a successful swimming career, he believes he may be an even better swim coach.

Lochte's physical appearance has also evolved since his participation in the 2016 Rio Olympics. The swimmer, now 41, sports a scruffier look with facial hair and a gelled, spiked hairdo, a departure from his previously clean-shaven and neatly styled presentation.
