Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions, have secured Zimbabwe's Ryan Burl as their final player for the eleventh season of the Pakistan Super League, which commences on Thursday. Burl's inclusion brings the Qalandars' squad to 20 players and positions him alongside fellow Zimbabwean and T20I captain Sikandar Raza.
This season of the PSL marks a significant expansion, with eight teams competing for the first time. The tournament is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3, featuring 44 matches played over 39 days. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revised logistical plans, confining all games to Karachi and Lahore without spectators, a shift from the original multi-city schedule.
Matches will be played behind closed doors in Karachi and Lahore. Lahore will host crucial playoff matches, including the final, while Karachi is set to stage the Qualifier. Organizers are enhancing broadcast features to compensate for the lack of live audiences, aiming to improve the viewing experience globally.
