- Rutgers is rebuilding its frontcourt with multiple transfer portal additions.

Rutgers men's basketball has continued its aggressive approach in the transfer portal by securing the commitment of Will Sydnor, a forward from Manhattan College. Sydnor brings a notable scoring and rebounding presence to the Scarlet Knights' frontcourt.
During his freshman season with Manhattan, Sydnor demonstrated his potential by averaging 13.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. He also contributed offensively, shooting 45.1% from the field and 34.8% from three-point range over 30 games, 29 of which he started.
Sydnor's addition is a key component of Rutgers' strategy to revamp its frontcourt. The team has also acquired Christian Gurdak from Virginia Tech and Darin Smith, the reigning NEC Player of the Year from Central Connecticut State. These new players are expected to significantly impact the team's performance.
All three transfers will need to adjust to the competitive Big Ten conference. However, Rutgers has the advantage of retaining them for multiple seasons, as Smith is entering his junior year, and both Sydnor and Gurdak have three years of eligibility remaining.
