George Russell has increased the pressure on championship rival Kimi Antonelli following qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix. Lando Norris demonstrated strong form by claiming pole position, his second consecutive pole after a prior win.

Antonelli, who leads the championship by 53 points over Lewis Hamilton and 56 over Russell, acknowledged that recent performances have served as a "wake-up call." He admitted to making mistakes during the weekend, highlighting the need to remain vigilant. Russell, meanwhile, feels rejuvenated after the sport's summer break and is approaching the remainder of the season with a pressure-free mindset.

Russell believes he and Antonelli, starting second and third respectively, can strategically challenge Norris. He expressed confidence in Mercedes' race pace compared to McLaren and anticipates a competitive fight. Ferrari's drivers, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, qualified fifth and sixth, respectively, falling short of expectations.

Russell also discussed adapting his driving style, drawing inspiration from Antonelli's success. He described the process as akin to refining a golf swing, involving initial setbacks before achieving improvement. Oscar Piastri qualified fourth, with Max Verstappen in seventh.
