Royal Marine Taylor Lawrence, 29, has declared that achieving an Olympic medal is his ultimate definition of success as he pursues bobsleigh competition for Team GB. Currently recovering from a calf injury, Lawrence has traveled to Italy to support his fellow competitors during the initial event of the 2025-26 World Cup season.
The Eugenio Monti Sliding Centre in Cortina d'Ampezzo is the venue for this first of seven European events. This location will also host the upcoming Winter Olympics in February, marking a significant stage for athletes aiming for the podium.
This state-of-the-art track has been constructed on the original site where the 1956 Winter Olympics previously took place, offering a historic yet modern challenge for the bobsleigh athletes.
