Royal Ascot: Royals Descend for Ladies' Day

Royal Ascot is currently celebrating its third day, known as Ladies' Day, with the royal family taking center stage. King Charles and Queen Camilla have continued their tradition of leading the royal procession, a role they have embraced since the prestigious racing event commenced earlier this week.

Wednesday marked a significant return for the Princess of Wales, who attended Ascot for the first time in two years. She was accompanied by Prince William, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal with Sir Timothy Laurence, and Lady Gabriella Windsor alongside Lady Sarah Chatto.

In contrast, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were absent from this year's event. Reports have suggested they were advised not to attend, following recent public scrutiny concerning their parents. Last year, both princesses were present at various days of Royal Ascot.

Today's racing schedule is highlighted by the esteemed Gold Cup, scheduled to take place at 4:15 PM, promising a thrilling conclusion to the day's equestrian events.
