Summary
- Amed Rosario hit two home runs against right-handed pitchers.
- His home runs gave the Yankees the lead in their comeback win.
- The Yankees defeated the Athletics 5-3 in the game.
Amed Rosario provided a pivotal offensive spark for the Yankees, hitting two home runs against right-handed pitchers in their 5-3 comeback victory over the Athletics on Tuesday night. His pair of long balls not only gave the Yankees the lead but also rallied the team from an early 3-1 deficit.
Rosario's performance was particularly notable as he accepted a bench role with the Yankees this offseason after previously seeking more playing time. The veteran journeyman's multi-homer game, his first in nearly five years, proved instrumental in securing the win.
The Yankees' offense saw contributions beyond Rosario, with Nick Kurtz driving in two runs with a double. The Athletics initially led, but the Yankees' bullpen and timely hitting secured the victory. David Bednar closed out the game for his fifth save of the season.
